I do, but I tell on myself and I don't give the gift as an actual gift.  Example - If I receive something as a gift that I don't like but I know someone else will like it I give it to them. But I tell them that it was a gift I don't like and don't try to pass it off as a holiday gift or something I bought expressly for them.

I absolutely regift!  My mother gives me a Christmas ornament every single year, I cannot possibly use all the ornaments I have been given over the years...so I give a few ornaments away each year that I don't need but think someone else may enjoy.  I think regifting is a great way of recycling items you don't need!

I think it definitely depends on the gift. Used gifts are a no-no in my book, but the regifting something like ornaments like MarcusThaBarber does sounds fine!

I am of the Daisy Adair school of re-gifting...it's more like passing along. I don't regift for birthdays or holidays. I get a lot of stuff that I have no interest in using, so I enjoy sharing the wealth.

I generally regift nice gifts that aren't really my style...the hard part is remembering who gave me the gift so I don't give it back to them!  Yipes, that would be embarrassing.

I always think about regifting when I receive something I don't like, or won't use, but, have yet to do so!

Oh man, though, we have gotten what I KNOW are sooo many regifts for my son's birthday from other kids.  I am always so surprised by how many we have gotten.

I have never regifted, but if I ever got something that was decent enough to regift that I didnt like I would probably try it.

Funny, I have a friend who is a teacher...she regifts every year. Sometimes I make out with some good stuff!

I so REGIFT! I feel that there is nothing wrong with it. IT is like one persons trash is another's treasure! I truely feel so many of us do it and so little of us admit it! I normally like all my gifts but ocassionally there is something I decide I have never used or don't want and find a person who might enjoy it. I normally regift body lotions, I normally get Vanilla scents (bleck) and I tell people I don't care for it but still get them so I decide my sister in law loves Vanilla, so TAAADAAA she love the gift that I couldn't love!!

kapley, I like Vanilla scents too!  You can send them my way! Which scents do you like?  We can do an exchange!

ErinB~ Hahahah that is good to know! Alot of people love vanilla and I can't handle the smell on me, it doesn't mesh well. I love fruity smells :-P

I rarely regift, usually can use it. BUT I tell you what I do do....reuse those gift bags. There they are, almost brand new and soooo pretty, so what can you do with them. I give myself a guilt trip everytime I do it, especially when I think I'm giving a bag back to the person who gave it to me, but you can't really use them around the house, and you can't just throw them away....

You guys do this, too???

I have regifted, when I have more than one of the same.

I have regifted mostly things like free samples of things I get. It's not really given as a gift, I just tell them I got this free sample and it's something I don't use. If I regifted gifts I received, I would have a hard time remembering who gave me the gift and be afraid I would wind up giving it back to the same person, or giving it to someone who knew that gift had been given to me first.

I regift all the time, but only if returning it isn't an option! My husband and I are still using wedding gifts that we recieved as wedding gifts for other people. I don't have a problem with it at all.

If it is something I cannot use or is just not me, I absolutely do regift.  I usually find the perfect person for it and it saves me money.  If you find the perfect person for it, what does it matter if you bought it new, regifted, or bought it at a thrift store or yard sale?

I definitely reuse the gift bags unless they look trashed.  If they are in good condition, just add new crepe paper inside and you are good to go!

@ErinB everyone in our family and group of gifts don't write names on the bags cause we all reuse them for each other :-)
